A little known Bible translation in process is called the International Standard Version (ISV). The NT is done but there is still 3000 some verses left in the OT to be completed which makes it 86% completed. The main translator for the NT is Dave Black – Virginian farmer and Professor of NT and Greek at SEBTS. It is reviewed by a translation committee and contributing scholars as well as some English Language Reviewers, (such as Wayne Leman of the Better Bibles Blog, TNIV Truth, and Complegalitarian fame) so it is not a one man job but it is interesting nonetheless.
