a third kind of brokenness

Dan discusses the first two here.  Then there is a third kind of brokenness – called submission.  🙂  When we are fully broken and submitted to the Lord – we become useful and effective in and for the gospel and the Kingdom.  Like the Wild Horse, it can be strong, powerful, beautiful, fast and utterly useless…. But the broken horse, becomes not only strong, powerful, beautiful, and fast – it is now useful.   Lent can be a time for us to be broken for effectiveness in and for the gospel and the Kingdom.

This is not my own idea, I got it from my friend Marty Knapp, a former pastor from when I was in college.
