To be justified produces waves of glory. To repent is to be smitten in conscience with the terrible heinousness of sin – its repulsiveness to God and man. To be born again is to have a radical change of nature with an appropriate change of thinking and behavior. To be sanctified is to be set free from the law of sin and death and to be purged of the root of bitterness. To be filled with the Spirit is to be overwhelmed with joy and the power of love and witness. The marvel is not that these men and women shout, laugh, weep, leap and run. It would be a greater marvel if they did not.
